How to pay for your holiday
We accept the following methods of payment:
Bank transfer, please contact us for our bank details.
Cheque Paypal (3% surcharge) Credit Card (3% surcharge)
What to pack?
Travel light with swimwear, shorts and tee-shirts through
the day, casual dress code for evenings in local restaurants
and light overwear. We recommend hats, sunglasses and 20+
factor water resistant sun screen.
You may like to bring your own sailing gloves and deck shoes
or sandals.
Money matters
Local currency is often preferred, and as most stops are
in idyllic bays there may be only one or two opportunities
to reach a bank. Euros for Croatia and Greece, Yeni Lira for
Turkey, US dollars for the Caribbean.
Time differences
Spain is 1 hour ahead of the UK. Turkey, Greece and Croatia
are 2 hours ahead of the UK.
The Caribbean Islands are 4 hours behind the UK.
Passports and Visas
A British passport is valid for travel to Turkey, Greece
and Croatia. For British citizens a visa is required for Turkey
which must be purchased on arrival at Dalaman or Bodrum airport
(£10 per person). Everybody must have a visa including
infants, and payment must be made in English Sterling notes.
If travelling to USA all children need their own passports.
To travel under the Visa Waiver Scheme all British passport
holders need a machine readable passport. For more information
see www.usaembassy.org.uk
Security Deposit
To be paid on arrival locally prior to embarkation of the
vessel. This is usually acceptable either by credit card or
in cash and is refundable once your yacht has been checked
out by our technical staff on return to base.
In some instances there is an option for flotilla bookings
to pay a non-refundable insurance waiver instead of the deposit.
See individual yacht fleets for details.
Cars & Hotels
We can arrange local hotels and car hire at the most competetive
rates - please ask at the time of booking.
Insurance
All boats are fully insured.
Personal travel and cancellation insurance is mandatory
(as cancellation can be a pricey affair) and we strongly recommend
that you travel with adequate medical cover. We recommend
www.sportscoverdirect.com
telephone: 0845 120 6400.
Medical/Disability/Dietary
For any specific dietary requirements or if you have any
medical problem or disability which may affect your arrangements
you must advise us in writing at the time of booking giving
full details. If we feel unable to properly accommodate your
particular needs, we must reserve the right to decline/cancel
your booking.
Foreign Office Travel Advice
From time to time the British Foreign Office (0845 850 2829
or www.fco.gov.uk) issues Travel Advisory Notices giving advice
regarding travel to a particular destination, which you should
consult before making a booking. If the FCO advises against
travel to the country, then following the advice of our insurers,
we may have to cancel your holiday.
Data Protection
Before you confirm your booking please read our privacy
policy which sets out how we manage the personal information
you provide us with when we arrange your holiday.
